1988 Toyota MR2 Racecar
I A few years ago I developed a sense of mechanical sympathy, probably after I killed the first 1NZ in my blue car at rallycross. In August 2021, a 1988 hardtop MR2 popped up for cheap and I grabbed it. I decided I was doing it all right on this car and stripped it down to a shell. It’s a red chassis. I previously had a red EG civic I painted white. I sold it when a friend called it a tooth, because it was white with a stripped red interior. I also decided to do all the wiring from scratch. It currently has a motor pieced together from two dead motors out of the blue car. It weighs 1700lbs, makes 120whp for 4000rpm and has done great so far at autocross and rallycross.
