AW11 Big Brake Kit
Perfect solution for almost any street or track car. The stock AW11 brakes are very heavily front biased. This kit allows you to install SW20 rear calipers and vented rear rotors onto your AW11.
Basic Rear Kit
Includes custom spacers, rear extended lug studs, and a pair of rebuilt and powder coated 91 MR2 rear calipers. You will need to source your own 91 MR2 rear pads and 86 MR2 front rotors.
Complete Street Kit
Adds pair of rear rotors, full set of lug nuts, and full set of Powerstop Z23 sport brake pads. This setup is great for street and autocross use, as well as light to moderate track use on lower power cars.
Complete Track Kit
Same as street kit, but with a full set of G-Loc R6 brake pads and the addition of a 1” master cylinder and install kit. I consider this the ultimate setup. The pedal feel is amazing, and the G-Loc pads will put up with a lot of abuse with a progressive fade if you do get them hot. They are dusty and are not silent pads, you will sound a bit like a racecar on the street.
Important Info and DIY
The spacers go underneath the brake rotor. Your wheels will no longer be hub-centric, so you will need to run wheels that are lug-centric with conical seats. Most stock wheels do not have conical lug seats and should not be used with this upgrade. You will also be pushing your wheel further out which may cause interference issues.
No kit includes front calipers or rotors. Reach out if you’d like matching rebuilt and powder coated front calipers and/or a custom color.
All kits come with 85-86 front rotors (for the rear) with 91-92 turbo or 91-95 NA rear calipers (they’re the same). If assembling yourself you may also use 87-89 front rotors with 93-95 turbo rear calipers. 93 turbo calipers are pricey and it may be hard to find somebody willing to separate a complete set. You can also put Spyder calipers with larger pistons on either SW20 bracket, but there are ebrake clearance issues on the 91 bracket and pad thickness issues on the 93T bracket. Use the pads intended for the caliper brackets you’re using.
